How to Design a Custom Gazebo in Canva

Introduction:
This tutorial shows how to design a custom gazebo roof and a custom gazebo wall for a 3x3m gazebo, which is the most popular size on the market in NZ.

Important Tips for Gazebo Roof Design:
- It is important to find the best spot for your logo and text. Due to the slope of the gazebo roof surfaces, we need to position the logo and writing as high as possible for visibility, while keeping them balanced in size.
- Anything outside of the red cutting lines in our template will not appear on the final product. However, the bleed areas between the red cutting lines and the black lines must be included in your design for proper printing.
- Add another page with the template if you'd like to create a different design on each side.
Adding Design Elements in Canva:
- Add Text: Use the left text tab to insert and customise your message (font, size, colour, alignment), or click any existing textbox in the template to edit.
- Upload Logos: Click 'Uploads' > 'Upload files' to add logos (PDF, AI, SVG, EPS, or other vector files). You'll find them under the 'Project' tab on the left. Vector files are recommended for best print quality.
- Upload Images: Click 'Uploads' > 'Upload files' to add business or event-related images.
- Add Elements: Enhance your design with shapes, lines, icons, and frames from the 'Elements' tab.
- Use Brand Colours: Keep your branding consistent by applying your brand colours to text and elements. Use exact hex codes in Canva for accuracy.

Important Tips for Gazebo Wall Design:
- The same visibility rule applies: place logos and text as high as possible. Gazebo walls are typically 2.3m high, and the ideal logo placement zone is between 1.6m and 2.3m above the ground.
- Anything outside of the red cutting lines in the template will not appear on the final product. The bleed areas between the red cutting lines and the black lines must be included for proper printing.
- Add another page with the template if you'd like a different design on each side.
Adding Design Elements in Canva:
- Add Text: Use the left text tab to insert and customise your message, or edit existing textboxes.
- Upload Logos: Add vector logos via the 'Uploads' tab. Recommended formats: PDF, AI, SVG, or EPS.
- Upload Images: Add relevant images for your business or event through the 'Uploads' section.
- Add Elements: Use Canva’s 'Elements' tab to include shapes, lines, icons, or frames.
- Use Brand Colours: Apply your exact brand colours using hex codes for consistency.
