How to Assemble a Premium Indoor Flagpole Kit
Posted by Flagseller.co.nz on
Assembling your premium indoor flagpole kit with a New Zealand or international flag is straightforward and normally requires no tools. This guide shows how to connect the silver pole sections, fit the flag, install the silver skirt and ball finial, fit the flag spreader, and secure the completed flagpole to its base.
The same steps apply whether your kit includes a New Zealand flag or another country flag.
Before You Start
Check that your kit contains the following parts:
- Four silver pole sections
- One indoor flag
- One flag spreader
- One silver skirt
- One silver ball finial
- One matching indoor flagpole base
Step 1: Assemble the Silver Pole Sections
Lay the four silver pole sections out in the numbered order shown below. Join the sections in sequence from 1 to 4 by fitting each threaded stud into the matching threaded opening.
Turn each connection clockwise by hand until firm. Keep the sections straight while tightening. If a thread does not start easily, stop, realign the sections and try again. Do not force or overtighten the joints.
Step 2: Slide the Flag onto the Pole
Remove the silver ball finial and skirt from the top of the pole if they are already attached.
Locate the vertical sleeve along the hoist side of the flag. Carefully slide the sleeve over the top of the assembled pole and move the flag down into position. Make sure the flag is facing the correct direction and the sleeve is not twisted.
Step 3: Install the Silver Ball Finial on the Pole
Pull the flag sleeve completely to the top of the pole. Make sure the threaded pin is exposed and the fabric remains straight.
Place the silver skirt over the threaded pin and the upper edge of the flag sleeve.
This is the key step: make sure the upper edge of the flag sleeve sits underneath the silver skirt. The skirt is designed to hold the flag securely at the top and prevent it from sliding down the pole.
Align the silver ball finial with the threaded pin and turn it clockwise by hand until secure. The ball finial locks the skirt in position. Do not use tools or overtighten it.
Step 4: Install the Flag Spreader
Align the black plastic centre clip on the flag spreader with the vertical pole, then push the clip directly onto the pole until it is securely attached.
Slide the clip up or down the pole to adjust the spreader to a suitable height. Position it so both sides support the top edge of the flag evenly and the flag hangs neatly.
Step 5: Secure the Flagpole to the Base
Place the indoor base on a flat, level floor. Fit the lower end of the assembled pole into the centre connection on the base and secure it using the supplied fitting. Tighten it by hand until the pole stands straight and feels stable.
Smooth the flag, check that the spreader is level and confirm that the fabric is held securely beneath the silver skirt.
Final Assembly Check
- All four pole sections are firmly connected.
- The flag sleeve is straight and not twisted.
- The flag spreader is level.
- The silver skirt is holding the flag at the top.
- The silver ball finial is hand-tight.
- The pole is securely attached to the base.
Your Premium Indoor Flagpole Kit is now ready for display. It is suitable for offices, schools, council buildings, reception areas, conference rooms and formal indoor events.
Important: This flagpole and base are designed for indoor use only.
