Use Our Canva Template to Design Your Pop-Up Display Media Wall

Learn how to create a stunning pop-up display using Canva, the top online design platform in NZ. With its user-friendly interface and diverse templates, Canva is ideal for designing your media wall. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process in 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Access the Template

Start by navigating to the Pop-Up Display collection on flagseller.co.nz and find the suitable size for your application. On the product page, look for the “Design Services and Templates for DIY” section and select the appropriate template for your display size:

Step 2: Add Your Logo

One of the most important steps is adding your logo to the template. To upload your logo:

  • Click "Uploads" in the left toolbar and select your logo file.
  • For the best quality, use a vector version (pdf or svg) of your logo. PNG and JPG files can also be used, but they may lose some quality.

If your logo is a PDF:

  1. Upload it to your project folder in Canva.
  2. Add it to the first page of the template.

Step 3: Adjust and Align Your Logo

Resize and position your logo as needed:

  • Drag the corners to adjust its size.
  • Use the rotation icon below the image to align it properly.

Pro Tip: Right-click the logo and use Canva’s alignment tools for precise positioning.

If your design includes multiple elements, use Canva’s grouping/ungrouping tools to organise them easily. Hold the Shift key to select multiple items at once for adjustments.

Step 4: Customise Colours and Finalise Your Design

Use the colour editor in Canva’s top toolbar to adjust background or logo colours. For accurate printing, choose CMYK-compatible colours rather than RGB.

Step 5: Download and Share

When you’re happy with your design:

  1. Download it as a PDF Standard:
Go to Share -> Download -> File Type -> PDF Standard. Sometimes Canva may block downloads if you're using a free account. Don’t worry, just share the template link with us, and we’ll download it for you using our Pro account.
  2. Share the Canva Template Link:
Click Share -> See All -> Template Link and send us the link via email.

4 Key Tips for Designing Media Walls in Canva

  • Template Scaling: Our templates are scaled down for Canva. We’ll resize them to the correct dimensions before printing.
  • Sewing Area: Keep key elements at least 20mm inside the red sewing lines to prevent cropping. Please keep the red lines in the design. These lines will be removed when printing.
  • Colours: Avoid RGB colours; stick to CMYK for accuracy.
  • Readability: Use simple fonts and clear designs for maximum impact.
